Perfect for the summertime.

The City of Melbourne has kept the good vibes coming by unveiling its second instalment of the Looking Out, Looking In playlist series.

In Volume Two, curated by Melbourne singer-songwriter thando, R&B, soul, instrumental funk and new jack swing are placed front and centre. The latest playlist puts a spotlight on some stellar musicians, including Sampa the Great, Akosia, The Seven Ups and Saskwatch.

“The playlist I’ve curated features all the corners of the world, and it’s a really great representation of the music here in Melbourne,” thando said.

“It goes all the way from Africa to Asia to right here in our own backyard.”

The inaugural Looking Out, Looking In playlist was curated by Jerry Poon (JPS) from Aussie music collective The Operatives back in July. The playlist featured the immeasurable talent of DRMNGNOW, Kaiit and Billy Davis.
