The Japanese museum is giving fans a rare glimpse inside its doors.

With Japan’s famous Ghibli Museum temporarily closed due to coronavirus lockdowns, the museum has launched its own YouTube channel allowing fans to virtually wander its many magical rooms.

Home to toys, illustrations, sketches, recreated scenes and miscellaneous memorabilia from the beloved animation studio’s films, Ghibli Museum is an aesthetic wonderland.

The museum usually doesn’t even allow visitors to take photos inside its hallowed walls and is renowned for being elusive, so the YouTube channel is a very rare chance to glimpse inside its doors without boarding a plane to Japan.

So far, three videos have been released, exploring Ghibli Museum’s main entrance, a recreation of the antique store from Whisper of the Heart and The Cat Returns, and the Space of Wonder room.

Visit the Ghibli Museum YouTube channel to view the virtual tours.
