World music organisation The Boite announces video concert series

Skyglass

Adapt, not cancel.

In response to the wave of cancellations experienced across the live music industry, world music organisation The Boite will move as many upcoming concerts as possible to a video format.

In an effort to adapt, not cancel, The Boite hopes to bring live music experiences into the home while allowing artists to continue to perform and generate an income.

The Boite will host online watching parties for concerts in which viewers can interact with performers and opt to support them in a number of ways.

Without ticketing as a source of income, The Boite have offered alternative means for artists to make money through the video concerts, requesting audiences subscribe to The Boite’s Patreon channel to watch the concerts, make donations, and join The Boite community by becoming a member.

The organisation has also encouraged music-lovers to subscribe to their YouTube channel, share content through social media channels and host watching parties with friends and family.

The first video concert will take place at 7pm on Saturday March 21.

For upcoming concerts and more information, visit The Boite’s website.
