The man, the myth, the legend.

Skating legend and star of one of the most prolific video games of the noughties, Tony Hawk, is heading to Australia in April for a special run of speaking shows.

Across two nights in Melbourne and Sydney, Hawk will lift the curtain on his life as one of the most famous professional skateboarders in history with An Evening With Tony Hawk.

Encompassing anecdotes from life on the road and tales of how he curated generation-defining soundtracks for his seminal video game series Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Hawk will reveal the man beneath the helmet when he hits Aussie stages.

An accidental music icon, Hawk will also be joined by the “unofficially official” Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater dedicated band, BIRDMAN: Or The Unexpected Virtue Of A Tony Hawk Pro Skater Cover Band, who will perform special sets for both shows.

A band whose very being was built around the THPS soundtracks, BIRDMAN have since become close friends of the skater and are fitting guests for the talks revisiting Hawk’s career.

Also featuring a live Q&A hosted by gaming enthusiast and Australian TV presenter Danny Clayton, An Evening With Tony Hawk is set to be an enlighting and entertaining event.

An Evening With Tony Hawk comes to The Forum, Melbourne on Monday April 13 and The Factory Theatre, Sydney on Tuesday April 14. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster (Melbourne) and Ticketek (Sydney).
