Tinder is rolling out a ‘festival mode’ in Australia

Nothing screams romance like three-day festival hygiene.

Tinder is launching a specific festival mode in Australia which will allow festivalgoers to sort out their weekend flings before the event.

“No longer are your connections limited to your campsite neighbours or whose shoulders you stood on during the headliner’s performance,” the company said in a statement.

“So put down your fringe boots and neon fanny pack because, thanks to Tinder, your festival game is now stronger than ever.”

Tinder research shows that its app registration during the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in the US increased by up to 300 per cent, so it sounds like a no-brainer. The dating app will allow users to swipe, match and chat with potentials before the trek to the festival even begins.

From this week, the feature is available for US and UK festivals EDC Las Vegas, Hangout, Governors Ball, Parklife, Bonnaroo, Firefly, British Summer Time, Lovebox, Faster Horses, Hard Summer and EDC Orlando. A partnership with a major Australian festival will be announced shortly, as will Tinder’s other festival mode plans for Down Under.
