Blues four-piece The Teskey Brothers and vocal powerhouse Emilee South will be front and centre to celebrate the reopening of the beloved Esplanade Hotel in St Kilda — or ‘Espy’ for those in the know — later on this month.

It was announced in July that the adored hotel and music venue would reopen in November following renovations. Sand Hill Road, the new owners of the Espy, have revitalised the venue with the hopes of returning it to its former glory.

The Teskey Brothers’ debut album Half Mile Harvestwas warmly received as a reinvigoration of blues and soul music throughout the hallowed alleyways of Melbourne. Last month, the group released a deluxe rendition of Half Mile Harvest, incorporating their new single ‘I Get Up’ into the tracklist.

The Teskey Brothers’ celebratory gig will be supported by singer-songwriter Emilee South, whose debut album is expected to be released soon. South has been selling out gigs in Melbourne, including a recent stint at the Gasometer.
