Tell us about your sound? Definitely a variety of acoustic, moody and melodic. Given I’m playing both guitar and piano tunes on this EP, there are plenty of layers of piano, cello and synth midi combinations.

What was your main inspiration for the EP? The idea of Pink Moon is about starting a new chapter/phase or cycle in my life and being able to honestly self-reflect and assess what it looks like living from my truth. The end of a relationship this year surfaced quite a lot of grief for me. I delved into my creative process for my own solace and comfort.  I think what’s most important for me from this EP is my own transformation process; turning something from complete despair into hope, freedom and joy.

What do you hope listeners take away from your EP? I hope they enjoy the melodies which are quite emotional. The tracks have layers of piano, synth, harp and cello harmonies which I’m really excited recording with. I hope listeners can also connect with the lyrics; perhaps identify with that feeling of ‘Yep, I’ve been there.’

What do you love about making music? I love coming up with an idea or melody which can come from the most random place, to rehearsing melodies over and over that I enjoy playing until they become refined. One of my absolute favourite things to do is improvising with other musicians. Allowing the creative process to becoming a shared experience brings me huge fulfilment.
