Revolver Upstairs now has its own record label

Words by Tom Parker

The beloved late night haunt has stepped into the label space.

Their party-starting ability is certified but now Revolver Upstairs has added another notch to their belt, pivoting into the label world. Revolver Upstairs Records is the name of the new venture – the aim of the label is to help put out the records from their internal brands, residents artists and extended family.

The indie currently boasts nine releases with the likes of revered producers DH Revs, Snot Nose Punk, STATUE alongside Tunnel Signs, and DJ Snow Fleas currently represented. Their next release comes in the form of Happy Accident/Lil Sumthin, a two-track effort from Common Underground – the alias of Revolver stalwarts Flip3k and Jimmy le Mac, set to drop on Friday October 2.

Across the records, listeners can expect much of the musical revelry they’d ordinarily experience within the revered dance space – driving house, acid and techno beats perfect for any after-hours affair.

While you can’t attend the venue IRL, start your own Revolver party by spinning a few of their records from home.

Check out some snippets of the forthcoming release below.
