Reverence Hotel will be closing its doors in March

Footscray gem the Reverence Hotel has announced it will be closing in March next year, following uncertainty around its lease.

The hotel has been operating on a month-by-month lease, making it difficult to plan for the long-term. After difficulty finding a more secure solution, the owners have decided to call it quits.

It’s been just over six years since The Rev started serving up drinks and good times. In a statement on the venue’s Facebook page, the owners said they’re proud of what they’ve accomplished, thanking the bands, staff and loyal customers for their love and support.

Looking back we are really proud of our achievements, the community that has congregated, and the memories that have been made are immense. What we’ve created here has far surpassed our expectations!”

Gigs, drinks and taco Tuesdays will still go ahead up until the last call, which is set for Saturday March 2.
