After selling out recent shows almost instantly, followed by an announcement that the performances would be their last, POW! Negro have reemerged with a fresh sound under the new moniker SUPEREGO.
The multicultural group have said the name change is a reflection of their diversity, feeling that the new name is a better fit for the band. To celebrate their rebirth, the six-piece hip-hop outfit have dropped a new tune, ‘I Am The Judge’, showing fans what to expect from their new direction which premiered ontriple j last night.
Not only are SUPEREGO back with new music, they’ve announced they’ll be launching their return with a national tour to showcase their forthcoming EP. The band will be hitting Sydney, Melbourne and Freemantle with headline shows in addition to appearances at Caloundra Music Festival and Ningalens Festival.
