Turns out you can’t have too much of a good thing.

Due to hit Australia in April for Bluesfest and a string of sideshows, Patti Smith and Her Band have revealed even more headline shows as part of the upcoming tour.

Returning to Australia for the first time since they last hit Bluesfest in 2017, along with a tour that earnt Patti Smith and Her Band a Helpmann Award for Best International Contemporary Concert, it’s no wonder tickets have been a hot commodity.

With both scheduled Melbourne shows already sold out, Smith and co. have revealed they’ll stop in at The Forum for an additional third night, as well as adding a Newcastle date to their run.

Smith has already expressed her surprise about returning to Australia for these shows, saying, “‘I really thought that I wouldn’t be able to come back – so I’m delighted that I was wrong,” so this may well be your last chance to catch her on Australian soil.

Patti Smith’s newly announced shows will see her hit The Forum, Melbourne on Thursday April 23 and Newcastle Entertainment Centre, Newcastle on Saturday April 18. Ticket pre-sales open at 10am on Thursday January 23 with general sale kicking off at 10am on Wednesday January 29 via Bluesfest Touring
