Nothing will stop PBS 106.7FM from putting on their annual extravaganza.
Themed ‘You Can’t Stop The Music’, PBS 106.7FM has announced the return of its Radio Festival from Monday May 18 until Sunday May 31. Self-isolation can’t get in the way of a good time and PBS know how to party, so let’s get down and boogie to help out one of the most important cultural establishments in Melbourne – our music and arts industries wouldn’t be the same without it.
For the first time in Radio Festival history, there won’t be a phone room full of volunteers to take your calls, so PBS is asking punters to sign up online.
“PBS has worked relentlessly to be there for our community during the COVID crisis and now we’re hoping people will be there for us, so we can make sure the music never stops,” PBS General Manager Adrian Basso said in a statement. “We know that a large number of our listeners are really doing it tough so we realise this is a big ask. But we also know that PBS listeners are beyond passionate in their love for music and what PBS stands for and will do what they can to help out in these extreme times.”
As always, there will be a huge bag of prizes and surprises in store for anyone that jumps on board and even though the festival will kick off on Monday May 18, all members who sign up from now will go into the draw. So get moving, friends!
Alongside a swag of daily prizes including food and drink hampers, vouchers, tickets and merch packs, the list of 2020 major prizes include a scooter courtesy of Peter Stevens Motorcycles, a handmade electric guitar from Clingan Guitar Tone in Collingwood, an Audiophile turntable as well as other things such as an entire year’s worth of PBS feature albums and a new road bike from My Ride Collingwood.
On top of that, new and renewing members will all receive PBS’s renowned Sounds of Studio 5 Live digital album, featuring live recordings from the likes of Ghost-Note, Surprise Chef, Pinch Points, On Diamond, Coda Chroma, Clowns, Dyson Stringer Cloher and many more.
PBS Radio Festival kicks off from Monday May 18 and runs until Sunday May 31. Jump on board and become a PBS subscriber through their website.
