The show goes on!

After the 2020 Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) was forced to cancel in mid-March due to the restrictions on non-essential mass gatherings, the MICF team has just announced rescheduled dates for 15 acts that were set to perform as part of the event.

Comedians that will go ahead with shows in late 2020 include Akmal, Frank Woodley, Harley Breen, Heath Franklin, Ivan Aristeguieta, Kitty Flanagan & Glenn Robbins as well as Lawrence Mooney.

Other names include Marty Sheargold, Nurse Georgie Carroll, Sammy J, Tom Gleeson, Tommy Little, Wil Anderson, while Daniel Sloss and The Umbilical Brothers have rescheduled their shows to early 2021. The shows are now set to take place during October and December, while the 2021 shows will go down in March and April.

The MICF Roadshow which was set to take place from April to July this year and was postponed accordingly has seen a few of its shows rescheduled. Shows in regional areas such as Ballarat, Bendigo, Horsham, Kyneton and Mildura have been rescheduled to October, with more dates to be updated via the Roadshow webpage.

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival have announced that ticketholders can keep their tickets and attend the rescheduled performances, or they can receive a full refund.

For performances that have not been rescheduled, MICF have set up donations that can be made to each of the artists no longer performing. There is also the opportunity available to make general tax-deductible donations for the wider comedy industry as well.
