Macedon Ranges Music Festival is the perfect weekend escape

Just an hour’s drive away.

Macedon Ranges Music Festival is right around the corner, and it’s shaping up to be the perfect excuse for a weekend day trip away from the city.

Headlining the festival this year are Melbourne indie duo Husky, whose latest record Punchbuzz came out in 2017. Husky are joined by festival alumnus Lloyd Spiegel, Tracy McNeil, Taylor Sheridan and more.

It wouldn’t be a true Macedon Ranges experience without a selection of local food and drink, which is why the festival has expanded its bar options this year. Gin cocktails from Mountain Distilling, wine from Hanging Rock Winery and beer and cider from Quiet Deeds and Harcourt Cider will be available for punters to choose from.  Food trucks will also be stationed on the festival grounds for when you’re feeling a little peckish.

The volunteer-run festival has good interests at heart, with all ticket sales being donated to the Woodend-based Cambodian Kids Foundation in support of their charitable work.
