Live at HUM #4

Over the past 3 years, HUM has been bringing you interviews and photos about the artists that make the Melbourne music scene as amazing as it is! This time we’re doing back to back shows at the beautiful Cactus Room.

LIVE AT HUM is a series of live recordings from some of our most loved musicians. How do we get these live recordings? We’re putting on some ripper gigs!

Come along and see ‘em in the flesh and maybe even immortalise yourself in RECORDED FORM!

*$15 entry*

Our fourth set includes:

Githmi
Drawing influence from The Strokes, Weezer and Blur, Githmi is a Sri Lankan/Australian indie rock artist from Melbourne. Githmi released her debut track ‘Don’t Go Away’ in March of 2021, and her second single ‘Unwilling to Change’ was released in November.

Wybie
The art-folk project of guitarist and songwriter Kyle Muir. Wybie’s songs are off-kilter, yet atmospheric, described by Trouble Juice as “a gentle, weaving journey that you’ll find yourself thrilled to be a part of – not as much a raft on the Murray River in July but a leaf flowing down Merri Creek in November”.

Ebiphè
Six-piece Naarm based outfit blend a heavy melting pot of boom funk, neo-psyche soul, ambient free jazz and electric hard groove. Sprinkled with spoken word soul scape hooks.

We would like to acknowledge that this event will take place on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri of the Kulin Nations. We extend our respect to elder’s past, present and emerging and all Indigenous peoples of so-called Australia. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.
