The cult-classic series celebrates its 30th anniversary next week.

April 8 marks three decades since Mark Frost and David Lynch’s masterpiece Twin Peaks first hit our screens and to celebrate the occasion, Kyle MacLachlan – aka Special Agent Dale Cooper – is hosting a virtual viewing party.

MacLachlan invited fans to join him in revisiting the series next week in a video on Instagram.

“I’ve been noticing that some of you have been watching and rewatching, and some discovering for the first time Twin Peaks, so I thought why don’t we set up a time when we can watch your favourite episode together,” he said, asking fans to suggest their favourite episode for the viewing party.

His former castmate Mädchen Amick, who played Shelly Johnson, has also jumped on board with the idea, commenting on the post, “I’m in! I’ve gotta vote for our pilot episode. It was pure magic.”

Details of how the virtual viewing party will work and which episode, or episodes, will be featured are yet to be announced.
