Following the success of his best-selling memoir Working Class Boy and the subsequent forthcoming documentary Jimmy Barnes: Working Class Boy, Jimmy Barnes will release the soundtracks for the film covering his incredible life story with the double album Working Class Boy – The Soundtracks.
Album 1 is comprised of 12 tracks with an additional two instrumentals and 13 spoken word pieces. The recordings are taken from a set of live performances at State Theatre last year in which Barnes performed a number of collaborations with family members to breathe life into his personal story.
Album 2 features eight tracks recorded live with a full band for the movie version of Working Class Boy, involving a collaboration with Richard Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra on the Randy Newman song ‘Texas Girl At the Funeral of Her Father’.
