Introducing Beat Live Sessions, our new series of live streamed performances

The first round kicks off tonight.

With live gigs, festivals and tours cancelled for the foreseeable future in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus, we want to ensure that musicians still have a platform to perform and fans can still get their live music fix. So, we got in touch with some of our favourite Aussie acts to bring you Beat Live Sessions.

Launching tonight, Beat Live Sessions will feature 30-minute sets live streamed on our Instagram story. To get things started, tonight’s instalment will see back-to-back sets from Zoë Fox and the Rocket Clocks and Georgia June.

Up first, Zoë Fox and the Rocket Clocks will bring their psychedelic space pop to your screens for half an hour of cosmic, futuristic disco pop.

Then, indie pop quintet Georgia June will be stripped back to a duo, featuring the band’s vocalist/keyboardist and namesake Georgia June and guitarist Jack Johnston, for what promises to be a very special set.

So stay inside, log in and let the live music come to you. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve got in store.

Head over to our Instagram (@beatmagazine) to catch live sets from Zoë Fox and the Rocket Clocks at 6pm and Georgia June at 6:30pm tonight. To support music workers impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, you can donate to Support Act’s COVID-19 Emergency Appeal
