You read correctly.

After months of closure as a result of social restrictions deriving from the current pandemic, The Tote is reopening its doors on Wednesday.

But you’ll have to be quick because the venue can only open to a certain amount of people and there will only be a limited number of tickets available. There won’t be any live music but take a seat and enjoy the scrumptious patties flying out of the venue’s Polly’s Burgers kitchen.

They’ve prepared a mean menu – try the Braised Blackbean with a sweetcorn pattie alongside smashed avo or slaw, or maybe the Vietnamese-style chargrilled tofu that’s topped up with crushed peanuts and chilli mayo. If they don’t fly then the burger with a zucchini fritter, green-pea herbed salsa, butter-bean hummus, slow-roasted tomato and alfalfa is sure to get you involved. Polly’s also has a portobello mushroom burger too. Yummo!

The news of The Tote’s reopening came via an Instagram post and it was obvious they couldn’t hide their excitement.

“We’re back! We’re planning to reopen to a limited capacity this Wednesday. Tickets go on sale at 5pm [on Monday], and will guarantee you a booking for an hour and a half plus a dinner and drinks combo (in collaboration with @pollysburgers – our in-house kitchen legends),” the post said.

“There are seriously limited tickets available, so get in quick to secure a spot for you and your housemates, your crush, or just your socially-starved self. We gotta be strict about social distancing and hygiene, but we’ll go over all of that with you in your ticket confirmation. We can’t wait to see you.”

So yeah, tickets are on sale now via The Tote website. Get moving!
