Forget the apps, a live dating show is hitting the Brunswick Ballroom stage

And you thought dating in 2020 was weird.

If you’ve had enough of swiping through Tinder and aren’t having much luck meeting potential dates IRL thanks to the pandemic, Human Love Quest might just be the answer to your dating dry spell.

Happening at Brunswick Ballroom, the live, onstage dating show will match three hopeful suitors with one love-seeking contestant all in the name of finding love – or a hook-up, if that’s more your style.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in Melbourne here.

In order to keep everything safe and comfortable for everyone involved, all contestants and hopefuls will be required to undergo a vetting process to ensure everyone is on the same page about what is and isn’t okay.

Anyone can take part, no matter how you identify or what you’re looking for out of the experience – you’ll just have to fill out a questionnaire detailing who you are and what you’re chasing to help the match-makers help pair you with some like-minded, suitable singles.

Each night will feature four rounds of dating and each successful match will win a bottle of bubbles and a private seat downstairs to get to know each other in a more intimate setting.

Hosted by Conor Gallacher and Xander Allen, with sounds by The Captain, it’s the antithesis to swiping through the apps on your lonesome.

And if you’re not looking for love but still want to head along, you’re more than welcome to join the audience and watch it all unfold over dinner and some drinks.

Human Love Quest is happening on Tuesday April 20. Grab tickets or fill out an expression of interest form here
