Boy & Bear’s new single comes just ahead of three sold out shows at The Corner (and a good long while before their debut album). Feeding Line is a tight, energetic indie rock tune that moves decisively away from seventies folk harmonies towards a more complex, muscular sound. It’s a better representation of what makes Boy & Bear such an electrifying live band than the tracks on the With Emperor Antarctica EP, but I still don’t crazy love it as a stand-alone track. It’s telling, I think, that their Hottest 100 position came from a cover. They are amazing, they clearly have an amazing song on the way, but I haven’t quite heard it yet.
