Boogie Festival makes the call on 2020 event

Words by Tom Parker

The decision has been made.

The 14th instalment of Boogie Festival has been postponed from 2020’s Melbourne Cup long weekend to April 2 to 4, 2021, as a result of the ongoing disruptions caused by COVID-19.

The news comes after the festival had already moved to change its dates from its normal April slot this year. The festival waited until the last minute to move ahead with it’s 2020 event but the decision was forced upon them.

“As the spring days arrive, we find ourselves more and more looking at a reality of no Boogie this year,” the festival said in a Facebook statement. “We wanted to hold on as late as possible to make the call, but the situation in Victoria coupled with many enquiries has led us to a decision to announce a postponement of Boogie 14 to Easter 2021.

“Assuming health and safety regulations can be met once we know what they may be, we will deliver the full Boogie experience on April 2, 3 and 4 in the year 2021 in the hills of Tallarook at Our Friend’s Farm. Try stopping us!”

All purchased tickets will remain valid until next year. Punters who are no longer able to attend can access refunds up until March 2, 2021 here.

Boogie 14 is set to take place from April 2 to 4, 2021. For more info, hit up their website.
