You can now grab milk, bread and other essentials from Macca’s drive-thru

You read right.

As of Wednesday April 1, you’re now able to wander into McDonald’s and not only pick up a Quarter Pounder and large chips but you can also grab two or three-litre bottles of full-cream and skim milk. You can also grab English muffins and bread rolls.

The service is applicable for both their drive-thru and takeaway service. A spokesperson for the company told 10 Daily that providing the essentials is crucial at this time.

“As part of our commitment to continue to support local communities during these uncertain times, Macca’s will now offer customers another way to access milk and bread, through its contactless drive-thrus and takeaway service, across the country,” they said.

“Our contactless service removes any need for touch contact between our employees and customers, making it a safe way for people to get food and drinks, as well as these essential basics.”

With the uncertainty around the safety of supermarket shopping, Aussies will now be able to access the most important essentials without even leaving their car. The usual Macca’s menu is still available of course however customers can no longer dine in.
