Next month, Dweezil Zappa will touch down in Australia for Bluesfest and a run of Australian sideshows to perform his dad Frank Zappa’s iconic album Hot Rats in its entirety.
Released 50 years ago, the year Dweezil was born, Hot Rats remains an avant-garde jazz-rock masterpiece. Dedicated to a newborn Dweezil upon its release, the forthcoming live tribute is set to be spectacular.
“This is the best version of the band I have ever had,” said Zappa of the forthcoming tour. “The musicians are able to tackle the hardest instrumental passages and cover a limitless range of vocals.”
To celebrate the momentous occasion, we’re giving away a double pass to Dweezil Zappa’s Melbourne Bluesfest sideshow at The Croxton on April 13 to one lucky Beat reader. All you have to do is enter your details below to go in the running.
