White Night has always gone above and beyond when it comes to music, and this year has been no exception. From 7pm to 7am, the Live Music Marathon stage will be packed with jazz, blues, rock and bluegrass.

The likes of Fem Belling and the Hep, The Scrims, Leave Your Hat On (featuring Nic Gazzana), The Seven Ups, Felix Riebl, Funk Buddies, The Interceptors, Glass Ocean, Werewolves of Melbourne and Better Than the Wizards will keep the party pumping from sundown to sunrise.

At Birrarung Marr, The World – Live stage will be showcasing a massive selection of music from Africa, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico and India. MPavilion’s Unplugged will soothe with intimate sessions in the lush surrounds of Queen Victoria Gardens.

Melbourne-based artist Kit Webster will be showcasing Axiom in the Alexandra Gardens. A large-scale structural installation sculpted from more than 700,000 LEDs, Axiom promises a dazzling exploration into light, time, sound and space. While you’re at the Alexandra Gardens, check out The White Night Messenger, an amazing 5.5-metre puppet and White Night representative created by impressive local art workshop A Blanck Canvas.

There’s also family fun to be had with Point To The Possums, where the White Night Possum Fanciers shall guide you in a game of trying to finding 40 hidden possums in trees leading up to the Royal Exhibition Building.
