Wamala

To celebrate the release of his highly anticipated new EP – “Fitter, Better, Healthier” – WAMALA is taking over The Workers Club for his first full band live show of 2023.

After the release of two huge singles “Dance Again” & “My Whole Life” that left both critics and fans alike in complete awe, WAMALA is bringing his lush sonic landscapes to the stage for the first time. Described as a “black man’s Radiohead” and supported by two incredible acts, this contemporary alt/pop artist will be showcasing his EP in full along with some old favourites and new unheard music.

WAMALA is a Naarm based Ugandan/Australian artist who draws inspiration from 90’s alternative, R&B, trip hop, grunge, modern folk, gospel, blues, and rock, to create music that is both fresh and familiar, with an extraordinary tone of voice and emotive projection. “Fitter, Better, Healthier,” produced by Joshua Moriarty (Miami Horror/Telenova), is a warm and ethereal exploration of mental health, personal growth, and identity. The EP’s title is a nod to Radiohead’s “Fitter Happier”, and the project is a testament to the power of music as a tool for self-discovery and healing.

Come along to The Workers Club on Thursday November 30th for a night of luxuriance, magic and beautiful escapism that will leave you feeling like you’ve been wrapped in a warm musical blanket.
