Video premiere: RVG deliver a visceral rendering of ‘Alexandra’ for PBS Drive Live

RVG capped off this year’s Drive Live in epic fashion.

Last week, PBS 106.7FM delivered five massive days of live-to-air performances for the tenth instalment of their annual Drive Live series.

Featuring sets from the likes of Angie McMahon, Bad//Dreems, Grace Cummings, Clowns and loads more local legends, this year’s lineup was a testament to the community radio station’s reputation for curating lineups bursting with acts on the precipice of huge things.

Such a description certainly fits Melbourne rockers RVG, who helped close out the series this year to a capacity crowd. Performing their track ‘Alexandra’, the band showcased the explosive energy and sheer musical power that has garnered them acclaim as one of Australia’s most exciting live acts.

Since releasing their debut LP A Quality Of Mercy in 2017, RVG’s rise has been stratospheric. Led by the formidable Romy Vager, their fusion of ballad-worthy lyrics and post-punk has piqued ears across the globe.

If you missed their visit to the PBS studio last week or just want to relive it, we’ve got an exclusive video capturing all the action from RVG’s Drive Live set.
