Video premiere: Garage rockers Hannah Kate cook up a storm in ‘Sourdough’

Hannah Kate

Gordon Ramsay probably wouldn’t approve.

Melbourne garage rock five-piece Hannah Kate have dropped an eccentric clip for their driving, synth-filled new single, ‘Sourdough’.

Directed and filmed by Michael Ridley and produced by Sam Swain, the brightly coloured video features frontwoman Hannah baking some bread for her mates. Wholesome right? Uh, no. The clip is a little unnerving, with Hannah’s cooking causing multiple people to recoil, choke and even vividly hallucinate.

This brand new track follows Hannah Kate’s other new single, ‘Moreland’ which was released back in January. Where ‘Moreland’ has quite a numb feeling to it (a result of a breakup), ‘Sourdough’ is jam-packed with emotion. The single will be launched later this week in Melbourne.

Check out ‘Sourdough’ below:

Hannah Kate are launching ‘Sourdough’ at Nighthawks on Friday November 29. For more info, head to the Facebook event.
