Video premiere: alt-rock trio boWsER envision the apocalypse with their ‘Supersonic’ film clip

‘Supersonic’ is the second single lifted from the trio’s forthcoming album, Whispers for the Wickerman.

After breaking their hiatus last year with the release of ‘People in the TV’, the first single from their next album Whispers for the Wickerman, alt-rock trio boWsER are back with another taste of the impending record with their latest single, ‘Supersonic’.

Melding ’90s-inspired crunchy rock with a splash of pop, ‘Supersonic’ pits sizzling riffs against a melodic chorus to create a catchy, euphoric track underscored by a dark, grungy energy.

Matching the gritty, apocalyptic feel of the track, the film clip sees boWsER enter another dimension as the Gold Coast is transformed into a futuristic, dystopian backdrop for the band of neon robots.

Balancing vivid colours with ominous shadows and foreboding streetscapes, the visual narrative of the film clip represents the underlying theme of the track which explores relationships gone wrong.

‘We wanted this clip to be very eye-catching. Juxtaposing dark elements with bright, swirling colours to highlight the many shades of emotion we traverse when facing the most challenging experiences life throws at us,’ says bassist Otis Mitter.
