Tool’s album release date has been revealed

The first album in 13 years.

Mark it in your calendars, Tool have announced the release date for their upcoming album. It’s the first album since 2006’s 10,000 Days.

After much wait, the new album will be released on Friday August 30. No name has been released for the album as of yet.

The release date was also shared at the US rockers’ concert a couple of days ago in Alabama. Last Sunday, the band premiered two new tracks, ‘Descending’ and ‘Invincible’, during their set at Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville. ‘Descending’ might sound familiar to diehard Tool fans, but as Consequence of Sound reports, this was the first time the song was performed with lyrics and vocals by frontman Maynard James Keenan.
