Tim Allan’s new single, ‘Honey’, is a love-filled indie-rock gem

The rising songwriter has just delivered his second single.

Having moved from North West Victoria to Melbourne to pursue his music career, local singer-songwriter Tim Allan has an interesting story. Allan studied musical theatre at two of Melbourne’s most respected schools before jumping into a songwriting degree at the Australian College of the Arts.

In early March, Allan released his debut single, ‘Polka Dots’, and began turning heads within the Melbourne music community. The song sang of new friendships and relationships and highlighted Allan’s lyrical knack.

Now, Allan has just dropped his second single, ‘Honey’, a continuation from track one that sees Allan’s charisma and charm come to the fore. On this occasion, he’s just met a certain someone, a girl he’s warmed to and wants to connect with on a deeper level. The track stands as a bouncy indie-rock number that’s warm in its melodies and incorporates a whole range of instrumentation from electric and acoustic guitar, to keyboard and backing vocals.

Allan is currently in the midst of planning a string of livestreamed shows to support ‘Honey’ while he can’t perform at live venues. His next body of work is set for release in late 2020.
