Thorne and Georgia Bancroft team up for new indie-dance anthem, ‘Just Friends’

A stellar collaboration between two talented artists.

Thorne has become one of the most exciting talents on the Australian music scene with his smooth, dreamlike slant of pop music. After releasing ‘Do You Wanna’ in May, the artist has just teamed up with the fast-emerging Georgia Bancroft to produce a stellar new indie-dance anthem for anyone whose love for someone else is everlasting, no matter the circumstances.

‘Just Friends’ is characterised by a smooth rhythm and curling beats that will get anyone out of their chair. As Thorne guides the song through its initial stages, Bancroft comes in at about the halfway mark before the duo whimsically trade vocals, singing of vulnerability and longing – the story of perpetual love could not be more clear.

The song hits home for many of us as it gradually rises in its narrative and significance throughout its three-minute journey. There’s elements of ’80s synthwave to the track – the beats occupy their own transcendent space as they deftly orbit the vocals.

So will the two long-lost lovers be reunited?

‘Just Friends’ is out now. For more on Thorne and Georgia Bancroft, check out their Facebook pages.
