This Aussie brewery wants to out-chart Mariah Carey with a new parody Christmas carol

All I want for Christmas is brews.

If you’re tired of the same old Christmas jingles being repeated day-in, day-out throughout December, it might be worth throwing this brand new tune into the regular rotation.

The Carlton Dry Christmas Orchestra (yes, they exist) have released a tongue-in-cheek cover of a beloved Christmas carol, titled ‘It’s The Most Wonderful Time For A Beer’. The track takes the piss out of office hookups, neverending traffic jams, racist aunts and other shenanigans you have to put up with during the holidays.

The orchestra hope to give Mariah Carey a run for her money come Christmas time, so they’ve hatched a campaign to put a stop to the R&B queen’s predictable rise in the charts.

“We know there are plenty of Aussies out there who aren’t terribly stoked about Christmas and are getting a touch over listening to the same songs about a ‘perfect’ Christmas every year. This song is for them,” said Carlton Dry’s associate director Hayden Turner.

“And in the spirit of some healthy Christmas competition, we’ve made it our only Christmas wish to dismantle Queen Mariah’s throne, even just for one day.”
