All you have to do is commit to being more environmentally friendly.

Environmental non-profit Green Music Australia has joined forces with a bunch of music festivals around the country to offer one lucky bastard the ultimate prize: a double pass to ten massive music festivals.

As part of the Party With The Planet campaign, Green Music Australia is encouraging festivalgoers to commit to four pledges: be a caretaker and look after the festival grounds, buy less stuff, purchase or hire with the future in mind, and take home your belongings. Those who pledge to be a less shit person will go in the running to win the drool-worthy prize.

“Over 50 per cent of waste generated at music festivals is campsite litter; 63 per cent of people believed it wasn’t their responsibility to clean up if they saw someone else leaving rubbish behind; and 48 per cent just wanted to ‘get the hell out of here’ when it came time to leave,” said Green Music Australia co-CEO Berish Bilander.

“As a result, we’re reaching out to all music lovers this year and asking them to keep their campsite clean and take everything home. Even the smallest of actions can make the biggest difference.”

The festivals getting partnering with the cause are Beyond the Valley, Falls Festival, Lost Paradise, Party in the Paddock, Pitch Festival, Rainbow Serpent Festival, Strawberry Fields and Unify Gathering, with Island Vibe and Splendour In The Grass on board next year. So, what are you waiting for? Get pledgin’.
