The State Library is hosting a digital talk series exploring Melbourne’s post-pandemic recovery

Words by Kate Streader

The series will cover six key topics as it investigates the future of Victoria.

The State Library has launched a new series of online talks titled 6 weeks, 6 issues which will see leaders in health, education, work and economic sectors explore the issues these industries face as a result of COVID-19 and the path to recovery.

Launched last week with a discussion between health experts unpacking the logistics of managing a pandemic and what the next few months might look like, 6 weeks, 6 issues aims to answer all our pandemic-related questions.

The next instalment, launching on Friday July 24, will focus on how jobs and workplaces will change as a result of COVID-19 in Victoria, with the following weeks set to look at the future of tertiary education, the economy, schools and Melbourne.

Each interactive session also allows viewers to submit their own questions ahead of each talk which the speakers will answer in a live Q&A. You can register to watch each episode live or catch up later via the State Library website.
