The raucous new variety show that’s guaranteed to have you in stitches

Words by Eva Marchingo

It’s time to get to know the fictional Talia Arnott-Brown.

Inspired by the fictional Talia Arnott-Brown – the WAG/influencer/entrepreneur-turned-cancelled-celebrity – Sarah Nicolazzo and Aisling Rose McGrogan have devised a brilliant show packed with satire for the modern-day.

Going down as part of Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2021, Wailing Sarah’s Apology Tour sees Arnott-Brown, played by Nicolazzo, fly in from her family retreat in Byron Bay to set the record straight after being cancelled on social media. She’s determined to win back her reputation. By her side is her put-upon assistant Ainsley, played by McGrogan.

Is this step one of Arnott-Brown’s publicist-managed image rehabilitation tour? Is it an apology tour? No, it’s a comeback for this high-flying new mother, hunky footballer’s wife, and influencer of half a million followers.

Apology Tour runs for five shows only at Campari House in the CBD every night from now until Sunday March 28. Expect an amalgam of all the ridiculous and out-of-touch things rich people said and did in 2020, all played out by a strong cast of female improvisers.

This show is a raucous mix of scripted comedy and improvisation. While each night starts off the same way, the audience will have a massive role in dictating how the night will go. Unique and unforgettable, each night, a different improviser will be welcomed to the stage to play a special guest.

Stars of the show, Nicolazzo and McGrogan began on the local improvisation scene and have made award-nominated comedy web shows. Apology Tour will be their first live show together.

Come and see how Arnott-Brown attempts to claw back her reputation after a series of social media misfires she made in the dumpster fire that was 2020.

To celebrate the run of shows, the Apology Tour team are giving away one double pass to their Saturday March 27 show. To go in the running, email [email protected] before 5pm Friday.
