The Getaway Plan are back!

Melbourne band are back from the dead.

They were once a hardcore band. Then they were more upfront, ‘alternative rock’. Then they broke up. Now, The Getaway Plan are back.

Fronted by one Matthew Wright, TGP broke up shortly after releasing their debut album, Other Voices, Other Rooms. After a series of countdowns, each of which released a new video, the final countdown hit 0 today. With that, the band were back. They wrote:

Hello friends,

We’re happy to announce that we’re currently in the middle of writing new music for a release some time next year. In celebration of this, we’re also going to be doing a small tour in February, playing a selection of new, and old material. Thank you to everyone for being supportive and sticking with us for the last 2 years. Looking forward to seeing you all again.

Much love,

The Getaway Plan.

The Getaway Plan play two shows at The Hi-Fi Bar on Saturday 19th February. The afternoon show (doors 3pm) is underage and the night show (doors 8pm) is 18+. Tickets available on December 16 from the Hi-Fi website. Support comes from Tonight Alive and Secrets in Scale. Don’t miss out!
