The ‘Almost Famous’ cast are reuniting for a podcast to mark the film’s 20th anniversary

Words by Kate Streader

The cast will get together for a podcast to reflect on the cult-classic film.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Cameron Crowe’s critically acclaimed film, Almost Famous. To mark the occasion, the cast and crew will reunite for an episode of James Andrew Miller’s Origins podcast.

The semi-autobiographical film tells the tale of aspiring journalist William Miller who hits the road with the fictional rock band Stillwater in a bid to land a cover story for Rolling Stone. Based on Crowe’s own experience working for the magazine and touring with bands such as Led Zeppelin and Eagles, it quickly became a favourite amongst music fans and film-lovers alike.

Crowe will join Almost Famous stars Kate Hudson, Frances McDormand, Zooey Deschanel, Patrick Fugit, Billy Crudup, Jason Lee, Peter Frampton, and Jimmy Fallon as well as the film’s composer Nancy Wilson, amongst a huge range of guests who worked on the cult-classic.

While there is no release date for the podcast yet, you can listen to a teaser for the episode here.
