Thando, The Putbacks and more announced for new live music series

With a lineup ranging from jazz to R&B, this program is a real crowd-pleaser.

Welcoming 26 live performances across Wednesday and Thursday nights during autumn, Monash University’s new state-of-the-art jazz club, The Count’s, has revealed the lineup for its Autumn Series.

Spanning a range of genres including jazz, afro-beat, R&B, and blues, The Count’s forthcoming live series will see the likes of Thando, Adam Rudegair, The Putbacks, Bob Sedergreen, Mama Alto, Tek Tek Ensemble, Julien Wilson Trio and loads more hitting the stage over the autumn months.

As part of the program, the third Thursday of each month will see The Count’s hosting a dedicated soul night, with The Putbacks, Mayfield and Fulton Street set to fire up the dancefloor across the three instalments.

Another monthly treat will see a handful of acts paying tribute to the jazz greats through larger than life arrangments focused on improvisation and spontaneity. Join ATM15, Cairo Club Orchestra and Esstee Big Band as they get things swinging for big band night on the last Thursday of each month.

Fridays will also feature DJ sets between 4pm and 7pm, coinciding with The Count’s cocktail hour. Plus, tickets to all live shows are just $25 – or $10 for students – so you don’t have to break the bank.
