They’ve also marked the occasion with the release of a special tenth anniversary edition of the album.

In 2010, Perth psych-rock project Tame Impala emerged onto the music scene with their debut album Innerspeaker. A decade on, Kevin Parker and co. have become one of the Australian music scene’s most prolific exports.

Celebrating their beginnings, Tame Impala have released a special tenth anniversary edition of Innerspeaker alongside a short film capturing the recording process of the album back in 2010.

Filmed in Injidup, Western Australia by Matt Sav and edited by Alex Haygarth, the 15-minute short film, titled InnerSpeaker Memories, features never-before-seen footage documenting the making of Innerspeaker.

It’s accompanied by the release of a tenth anniversary 4xLP box set of the album, featuring instrumentals, demos, new mixes of ‘Alter Ego’ and ‘Runway, Houses, City Clouds’, a previously-unreleased recording titled ‘Wave House Live Jam’, a 40-page booklet, and more.

The 10th anniversary edition of Innerspeaker is out today.
