After a massive 2019, the Melbourne sextet are on the up-and-up.

To celebrate the release of their second LP Momentum, six-piece collective Sunnyside are gearing up to take their new tunes to the stage.

Jazz-funk instrumentalists and purveyors of groove, Sunnyside are all high energy, tight rhythms and good vibes, and they’ll be unleashing their sound in all its glory with a full venue takeover at Brunswick’s beloved Howler later this month.

Having honed their sound on stages at the likes of Gizzfest and Strawberry Fields, the Melbourne outfit are renowned for their live sonic journeys. In addition to launching their latest record at the upcoming show, Sunnyside have also invited a few friends along to get things started.

Joined by Surprise Chef, Bananagun, Aarti Jadu, Josh Keys, Milo Eastwood, Colette and College of Knowledge DJ’s, Sunnyside will have Howler swinging when they take over the venue on January 24. Not to mention, they’ll have some limited edition vinyl copies of Momentum and merch available on the night.

The Howler show comes as part of an album launch tour, in which the sextet will take their tasty tunes to Torquay, Warrnambool, Ballarat, Adelaide, Hobart and Canberra.

Sunnyside hit Howler on Friday January 24. Find tickets and more info here
