St Kilda Festival reveals 2020 New Music Stage competition lineup

But only one can be St Kilda Fest’s next top performer.

Ten Melbourne up-and-comers have been unveiled as the acts going head-to-head in next year’s St Kilda Festival New Music Stage competition.

Heading to the festival this February are local rockers Face Face, synth duo Juno Disco, rapper Mikhaell, folk-rockers The Hunter Express, post-punk band Dr Sure’s Unusual Practice, garage rock five-piece Hannah Kate, psych-pop outfit Messy Mammals, garage trio Bad Bangs, pop singer-songwriter Francesca Gonzales and rock band RAT!Hammock.

The winner of the New Music Stage competition takes home $5,000 in prize money and is invited to play on the festival main stage. The competition entrants will prove their worth on the very stage that has hosted musical greats such as Baker Boy, Client Liaison, Missy Higgins, Husky and Stonefield.

St Kilda Festival goes down Sunday February 9. For more info on the St Kilda Festival New Music Stage competition, head to the festival website.
