The news came via AJ Maddah’s Twitter account, where he confirmed that the 2015 incarnation will take place over two days in each city. Maddah said that the expansion will give the festival organisers the opportunity “to minimise clashes; give bands longer sets, better staging, production & infrastructure”.
It follows a radical month of changes in the Australian festival landscape, which saw the cancellation of the Big Day Out at Fat As Butter in 2015, alongside the axing of Sydney’s Come Together hip hop event.
