Celebrating the rich culture of the continent.

The vibrant Sounds of Africa festival returns to Brunswick East in December, bringing with it a massive program full of traditional food, dance and music. The festival is designed to be the central hub for African culture in Melbourne and hopes to build bridges between local African communities and the greater city population.

Across two stages, a spectacular lineup of African music will keep the good times rolling as you roam. Acts heading to CERES Park include DJ Chris NG, Cool Out Sun, African Soul and heaps more. If you’re looking to satisfy your tastebuds with some traditional African food, stalls and trucks will be dishing out cuisine from Ethiopia, Nigeria, Cameroon, Zimbabwe and other corners of the continent.

The festival is an all-family affair, with kids under 12 getting in for free. With mask making, storytelling and rock painting workshops, they’ll be absolutely spoiled for choice.

Sounds of Africa arrives at CERES Park on Saturday December 7. Tickets are on sale now via the festival website.
