Slow State has delivered the perfect comedown collection with his new self-titled EP

SlowState is like mindful music on acid.

The brainchild of Perth-based musician Louis Frere-Harvey, Slow State is a project that’s been years in the making.

After cutting his teeth performing original electronic tracks in nightclubs across Australia, New Zealand and Los Angeles as part of the successful duo Command Q, Frere-Harvey is slowing things down with his solo project.

In honour of years of parties and raves, Slow State has delivered the perfect comedown collection with his new self-titled EP. Filled with swirling, stuttering synth and big, textural soundscapes, SlowState is like mindful music on acid.

Comprising five tracks plus a bonus track, SlowState wanders through pulses and swells of ambient synth contrasted by slow-motion vocal grabs for a truly transformative listen.

Designed to slow you down to a near-stop, the EP is cathartic and ethereal, leading you on a journey that will take you outside of your own head and away from all the noise of the modern world.
