Single premiere: Dead Preachers make their presence known with debut track ‘Train’

Dead Preachers

New band, veteran players.

Melbourne southern-gothic blues group Dead Preachers have released their debut single, ‘Train’. The track’s release follows a sold-out debut show at Whole Lotta Love in June.

The new kids on the block are a mix of members from some of Melbourne’s most prominent underground rock groups: Massive, Wintermoon, The Evils, The Ugly Kings and Marianne Digs. Needless to say, they know their way around a stage.

‘Train’ is deeply influenced by the legacies of Led Zeppelin, Cream, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones. A tribute to the music from the ’60s, the single is driven by riffs and fuelled by the powerful dynamic between vocalist Russell Clark and lead guitarist Dean Luke.

Dead Preachers will be launching their debut single at Last Chance in Melbourne on Friday August 23 and Hideaway Bar in Sydney on Friday August 30.
