Sing along to your fave Irish musicians with these weekly tribute sessions

U2

Bono probably won’t be making an appearance.

Melbourne joint Quiet Man Irish Pub is bidding farewell to the final month of winter with weekly live music tributes to Ireland’s favourite acts.

Taking place every Saturday in August, the pub will be hosting two one-hour sets each week, kicking off at 10.30pm. Expect nights dedicated to U2, Christy Moore, Van Morrison and more Irish icons. The tributes to Irish acts will take a break on Saturday August 24, so that the pub can celebrate Neil Diamond’s seminal record Hot August Night for White Night.

The best part? It’s absolutely free. So grab a Guinness and get yourself to a gig.

Check out the schedule for Quiet Man’s August lineup below:

Saturday August 3 — The Pogues, The Waterboys and The Dubliners

Saturday August 10 — Christy Moore, Moving Hearts, Planxty

Saturday August 17 — Van Morrison

Saturday August 24 — Neil Diamond

Saturday August 31 — U2
