Seymour Alternative Farming Expo is a must-visit for backyard farmers and agriculture obsessives alike

A centrepiece of the farming calendar, the expo highlights new technology, methods and solutions within the agricultural industry.

Bringing over 400 exhibitors to Seymour’s Kings Park this February, the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo promises something for everyone.

Exploring everything from small acreage and backyard farming to sustainability and low-impact living, the event is bursting with knowledge for farmers of any and all degrees.

Not just for green thumbs, The Seymour Alternative Farming Expo also hosts a huge range of family-friendly entertainment, including quad bike stunts by All 4 FMX and adorable tricks by Flipping Disc Dogz, fresh off the Australia’s Got Talent stage.

Keep any little ones happy with a trip to the Kid’s Corner or learn some cooking hacks at the Country Kitchen and Butcher Shop, where chef Adrian Hensley and Butcher Vic Bonacci will cook up a storm. The expo will also host up-close animal encounters, markets, and much more.

“An estimated 22,000 visitors are expected across the three days, with the expo anticipated to bring in more than $6 million to the local economy,” Mitchell Shire Mayor David Lowe said.

“This fosters the continued growth and development of our agricultural sector as well as our broader community and region – a very welcome boost during the widespread drought that so many people are experiencing.”

The Seymour Alternative Farming Expo will be held at Kings Park in Seymour from Friday, February 14 to Sunday, February 16. For further information or to buy tickets online and save 15% off the gate price, visit the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo website
