Loch Hart Music Festival is almost here, decorating a secluded pocket of the Great Ocean Road with fantastic music, comedy, food, drink along with one extra special ingredient: inclusiveness. The BYO policy
Beer, cider, bubbles, as long as it’s not contained in glass, it’s fine by Loch Hart Music Festival! Drag your esky down to the amphitheatre and pair your favourite poison with whoever’s playing on the main stage at the time. If you get tired of your personal stash, mosey over to the James Bully Forbes Bar for an ice-cold Forrest Brewery local craft beer or fancy cocktail.
The Great Ocean Road
Did you know Loch Hart is located on Australia’s most-celebrated stretch of road? Yes! In fact, it’s just a stone’s throw from the iconic Twelve Apostles. Loch Hart is the only festival where you can wake up and see the ocean from your tent!
Alex Dyson
The Laughs
Former triple j breakfast host, Independent candidate for Wannon, and all-round rat-dog Alex Dyson will preside over the festival’s inaugural Comedy Hour in the cosy surrounds of festival’s giant tepee. Loch Hart 2019 is presenting a cavalcade of local comic talent including Luka Miller, Annie Louey, Aurelia St. Clair and Alex Keen.
The Sunset
Make your way to sunset point and scope out the best possie a touch after 8pm and you’ll be rewarded with one of the most beautiful sights, the sun setting over the Shipwreck Coast. It’s the perfect opportunity to cuddle up with your nearest and dearest and reflect on the day that’s been, just before the nighttime festivities kick-off!
The Eats
Festival-ing is hungry work but Loch Hart has you covered! There’ll be Fugazi Pizza, Hotties Eat Rotis, Dolly Bus Mobile Vegan Food, Ubatooba and more culinary delights to keep your belly happy all weekend long.
The Yoga
Start your morning right. Stretching out those tired limbs from your efforts on the dance floor the night before with our Yogi in residence Maisy Jane who’ll be leading classes Saturday and Sunday morning. Namaste!
Alpine
The Music
Last but not least… the main event! The music! Beloved indie darlings Alpine lead a star-studded cast of Australian stars including Didirri, Genesis Owusu, Alice Ivy, Cry Club, and stacks more! There’s something for everybody in Loch Hart’s genre-spanning three-day musical program.
