Watch the revered Japanese composer play songs from across his career.

Critically acclaimed composed and co-founder of Yellow Magic Orchestra, Ryuichi Sakamoto has shared a concert film titled Playing the Piano for the Isolated.

Spanning just shy of two hours, the concert features songs from across Sakamoto’s career, as well as an appearance from renowned musician, Hidejiro Honjoh, on the shamisen – a traditional, three-stringed Japanese instrument.

Sakamoto took to Twitter to assure the studio was “thoroughly cleaned” for the performance, which is available to watch world-wide with English subtitles.

Recorded early last month in Tokyo, the beautifully-shot concert sees Sakamoto and Honjoh improvising as well as performing beloved tracks such as ‘Energy Flow’, ‘Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence’ and ‘Andata’.
